Sail, sail, as fast as you can! Racing sailboats is fun and exciting - it's also one of the best ways to improve your sailing skills. Hoofers hosts its own races several days per week for rated members to show what they've got.
- Mondays - Badger Sloop Racing
- Join us for fun, group sloop racing. Come down with a bunch of your friends, fill a boat and race or come down on your own and join up with others
- Wednesdays - Beginner Tech Racing
- If you've never raced before, attend the race clinic from around 4:30-5:30pm. Sign up at www.hooferlessons.org. Otherwise, rig up a boat and get out to the starting line for the 5:30 start of the first race.
- Thursdays - 420 and Laser Racing
- Join us for thrilling, fast-paced 420 racing every thursday night. Races start at 5:30, bring a crew or skipper, or just show up and find your own.
- Fridays - Advanced Tech Racing
- (Don't be scared to learn from the best!) Rig up a boat and meet at the line at 5:30pm.
In addition to our own weekly club races, the Hoofer Sailing Club also offers frequent races with the Mendota Yacht Club, the Spring Chicken Regatta, and the Intergalactic Tech Regatta.
